K2's Annual Corporate Golf Day

In Support of Rainbow Trust

On Friday 31st July, representatives from K2, alongside valued clients and trusted partners, came together at Effingham Golf Club to support the annual Rainbow Trust Corporate Golf Day. The event united businesses from across the industry to raise vital funds for families caring for a child with a life-threatening or terminal illness, while strengthening the partnerships that make initiatives like this possible.

Alongside entering two teams into the golf tournament, a dedicated group of K2 volunteers helped ensure the day ran smoothly by assisting with the organisation and delivery of the event.

Representing K2 on the course were Executive Business Director Richard Rutledge, UK Immigration Leader Simon Higson, and Senior Business Analyst Luke Charter. They were joined by valued K2 partners.

Reflecting on the day, Richard Rutledge said:

"For what has become something of a fixture in the K2 CRS calendar this years Rainbow Trust Golf Day was probably the best we have participated in. The K2 support team were magnificent and played a huge role helping Rainbow Trust achieve such a high fundraising total and our clients from Aon and Bank of Ireland have fed back their appreciation of our efforts all round."

K2's volunteering team played a key role in engaging guests and encouraging donations throughout the event. Global Assignment Manager Michelle Long, Account Manager Vicki Sewery, and Assignment Management Consultant Janjira Smith spent the day selling raffle tickets, encouraging guests to get involved in the fundraising activities, and promoting the ever-popular Lucky Dip 4 Ball competition, which sold out in record time.

Reflecting on her volunteering experience, Vicki Sewery said:

"I love that we get to do these volunteering days and felt privileged to be involved. Thank you to Rainbow Trust for having us, and I'm so pleased we helped contribute towards such an amazing fundraising total."

Each family is supported by a dedicated Family Support Worker who offers personalised practical and emotional support, helping them through every stage of their journey and enabling them to focus on what matters most – spending precious time together.

The generosity shown throughout the day made a significant difference. Corporate Partnerships Fundraiser Jenny Evans confirmed that an incredible £16,397 was raised during the event, enough to provide 506 hours of practical and emotional support to families with a seriously ill child.
