New Year, Meaningful Connections: Our Journey with Naomi House & Jacksplace
Naomi House & Jacksplace support children and young adults with life limiting and life-threatening conditions, offering specialist hospice care to families across Hampshire, Wiltshire, Berkshire, Dorset, the Isle of Wight, and surrounding areas.
Lynda shared the phenomenal and deeply meaningful work the charity does, along with the story of their ongoing partnership with K2.
She spoke about the incredible emotional, spiritual, developmental, clinical, and holistic care that they provide to children and young adults with some of the most complex medical needs. Lynda also highlighted how K2 have supported their mission, helping ensure these children, adults and their families receive the compassion and specialist care they truly deserve.

On Tuesday 3rd February, we had many K2ers take part in helping create 1,000 handwritten thankyou cards for Naomi House & Jacksplace eBay customers. This activity was a genuinely collaborative experience, bringing together colleagues from across the Guildford office and sparking a real sense of shared creativity. The participants felt it united multiple groups in a meaningful way while doing something positive. Linda Rafferty summed it up beautifully, saying, “It’s a lovely charity, and this signing activity is a really nice way to give back.”
Lynda Crook also shared some of the lovely volunteering opportunities coming up in the first half of 2026. Last year, a group of K2ers helped with gardening days — getting the grounds at Naomi House & Jacksplace ready for the summer months. Another group spent time at the warehouse near Winchester, receiving, organising, and redistributing donated items. Both of these were hands-on, rewarding experiences that really made a difference. The sessions were such a success that there will be more volunteering and gardening opportunities throughout during the first part of 2026.
Volunteering opportunities like these not only help to support our charity partners, but they also encourage teamwork and can provide those taking part with a real sense of accomplishment.
