What does the Nepal Trip involve?
On November 26th, a group of 24 K2 employees from around the world will journey to Nepal to participate in an exciting expedition and volunteering program. This initiative is K2's primary charitable endeavor for 2023. Once they arrive in Nepal, the K2 team will divide into two groups. The first group will embark on the thrilling Everest Base Camp Trek, while the second group will venture into several remote villages near Pokhara, a central Nepal city, to assist in the renovation of local schools.
What is the purpose of the trip?
The K2 Foundation, a charity dedicated to supporting children facing uncertain futures worldwide, is currently in the process of rebuilding a run-down school in a favela in São Paulo. While the reconstruction is progressing well – click here to view a video update on the progress – we still need additional funds to keep the construction going. Our upcoming Nepal Trip is a crucial fundraising initiative: each member of the K2 Nepal Team is seeking sponsorship for the trip, with the goal of raising a combined total of £200,000 that will be directly invested in the renovation of the São Paulo school.

How can I support?
The simplest way to support the K2 Nepal Team and therefore the rebuild of the São Paulo school is to donate to the K2 Foundation. Any amount, however small and insignificant you may deem it to be, will be truly valued and will help us in our effort to improve the future prospects of generations of local children. In addition to donating, you can also support by helping us to spread the word about the trip, the school and the Foundation. Engage with our posts on social media, read and share the recap of the Nepal trip, and speak to your network about what we are doing and why we are doing it. The more people we can reach, the more donations we are likely to receive, and so the more hope and happiness we can strive to bring to children who are growing up in a world very different to our own.
“The happiness of the children is inspiring, a little bit overwhelming and extremely humbling. Knowing that we have the potential to take that inherent happiness and build on it is truly wonderful.”
Phil Hunt, Managing Director – Americas, following a recent visit to the school
