One Global Team, One Shared Journey
Today, 16th September, marks the launch of StepsWithout Borders, a three-month global challenge bringing K2 colleagues togetherto collectively walk more than 37,000 miles across K2’s global footprint.
Starting in Guildford, UK, the virtual journey will take colleagues through K2 locations around the world, travelling across Europe, the Middle East and Asia, through Australia, the Americas and Africa, before reaching its final destination of São Paulo, Brazil, just in time for Christmas.
But this journey is about more than the miles.

Established in 2023, the K2 Foundation enables K2 to support a broad range of charitable causes around the globe. It provides an independent fundraising facility and acts as an umbrella for K2’s global charitable activities.
The Foundation’s mission is to empower children and young people by providing access to wellbeing support, healthcare, education, sport and personal development opportunities, creating meaningful and lasting change in their lives.
Through its charity partners and supported organisations, the Foundation helps create opportunities for children and young people around the world.
Steps Without Borders is one way K2 colleagues are putting that mission into action.
The route covers 37,437 miles, equivalent to more than one and a half times around the Earth’s equator.
The journey begins in Guildford and travels through London, Paris, Malmö, Bucharest, Dubai, Singapore, Shanghai, Sydney, Houston, Cape Town and Johannesburg, before reaching São Paulo.
Throughout the challenge, colleagues will contribute their daily steps towards the overall distance. Whether they are walking to work, taking a lunchtime stroll, getting out with the dog or simply adding more movement to their day, every step contributes to the collective journey.
The challenge is not about individual performance. It is about showing what can be achieved when people across different countries, offices and time zones work towards one shared goal.

São Paulo is a particularly meaningful final destination.
The journey will end at Associação Semeando Amor com Tia Mônica, the K2 Foundation’s partner school in São Paulo, connecting the virtual journey with the real-world impact of the Foundation’s work.
Reaching São Paulo represents more than completing a route. It reflects the purpose behind the challenge and the difference that collective action can make in supporting children and young people across all the locations K2 operates in.
Although Steps Without Borders is a challenge for K2 colleagues, everyone can follow its progress.
From 16th September to 16th December, we’ll be sharing updates across our social media channels, including milestones, locations reached and progress towards São Paulo.
